Math Touchpoint

This week we will dive into addition and subtraction of decimals!

As we move through this unit, I highly encourage having your student take on some responsibility during your family shopping if they have yet to. Giving students a set budget and encouraging them to work within those confines to buy specific items can help solidify their estimation skills and addition & subtraction skills. Having them count out exact change and check the change that comes back from the cashier is another easy way to work on these lifelong skills! Rounding would also be a great way to to get an estimate of the cost before finding out the exact total too. Many thanks for your help!

Science Update

Science assessment on Chemical Magic will go home this week in your student’s Friday folder.
